Senior Partner Nigel Calvert started the practice in 1996 as a constructive alternative to large West End firms in which he had worked as a Partner. He is a specialist in Media and Entertainment Law and has acted for a number of household names. He has built up a diverse and broad-based client following over the years that he has specialised in the film, music and broadcast industries. Nigel has broadened his scope of expertise and currently, in addition to the above, a significant number of Nigel’s clients are from the field of design and architecture.

Many clients have remained loyal, recognizing the practical and commercial solutions he offers in both contentious and non-contentious matters. A number of key figures within large corporations benefit from his specialist knowledge alongside their existing corporate representation. Nigel has been instrumental in networking clients to afford mutually beneficial commercial opportunities.

Nigel has been a visiting tutor at City University since 2000 and has lectured in Legal Aspects of Film and TV and Legal Aspects of the Record Business.
